What Do Mediators Do?

  • Focus discussion on issues that need to be resolved.
  • Help participants generate realistic settlement options.
  • Prepare written agreements that clarify expectations and obligations.

Mediators Do Not:

  • Make judgments or decisions.
  • Give legal advice.
  • Provide psychological counseling.
